Definitely entertaining, but the writing, delivery of lines by the actors, and childishly bad editing really distract from the plot. I'm glad I saw it just for the interesting premise, but I'm left feeling like it could have been much better with better casting, writing, and directing.

Completely boring with gratuitous violence and characters nobody cares about. Bad Santa was 1000 times better. Terrible writing, terrible acting, terrible editing. The music tried to make it seem like a Quentin Tarantino film but it was so far from that. The dark humor failed. The tension failed. I literally fell asleep multiple times while watching it. I didn't root for anybody or feel good about the ending. I hope I can prevent you from watching this dumpster fire of a movie! Blech! After reading through the positive reviews, I'm convinced that they were all written by members of the crew or Mel Gibson's family. This is clearly one of the worst movies ever made. And it's not because I was offended by the idea of a violent or irreverent Christmas movie. I like that idea. But everything about it was ridiculous and poorly executed. The assassin was on screen twice as much as Santa. The child was 100% cliche and non-believable. I hope someone makes a good version of this idea... a realistic Santa living in the modern world. AVOID IT!!!!
