I feel like I've been bamboozled. This movie was nothing like the trailer lead it to be. A weak story with an incredibly long build up leading to not much at all. The gimmick of an actor playing two people just took away from the experience. It was just a reimagining of From Dusk Till Dawn.

As the title suggest, this movie is pure, extremely grounded and visceral warfare. It does not glorify war or military life, this movie is the harsh reality of what (I assume) these people had to experience. There are no heroes, villains or fancy Hollywood effects, these are soldiers doing the best they can to survive and get back home. It feels strange to say this is a great movie due to the content but it was an unforgettable experience that I will remember always. I highly recommend watching this in the cinema.

A remarkable film, one of a kind. If you are fan of Robert Eggers previous films then you will love this.
