The premise of the show sets the tone for the next episodes. It's going to be fantastic. I'm happy that they've moved Picard away from the campy style that TNG was. More adventure and action scenes discovery style. Taking Star Trek to the new age. I didn't want this to be in the style of TNG. Some think this is rushed because it's not campy, but at least you aren't waiting in your seat the entire time for something to happen. I like the cinematic feel of the movie format for a TV show.
