Nearly a quarter century has passed since the Tamil film Karuthamma was released. Still the subject is most relevant. The society has not changed.Today the evils manifest in different and unimaginable forms by perpetuating gruesome cruelty towards female irrespective of age. Babies in mother's womb, children, girls, and women undergo intolerable abuse by society. It is unfortunate that many present day film makers are not fully concerned on this trend but are busy with producing box office collection oriented films of mass appeal.
