Without spoiling too much about this book, i'd just like to say that, contrary to what the book says it's not really a comedy.
There are some light hearted moments, but first and foremost it's a tragedy.
I wasn't really too impressed by the book after getting about 2/3rds into it.
The last 200 hundred pages however, are where this book really shines, everything that had been building up finally kicks into 5th gear and gets going.
By themselves the earlier parts of the book aren't as strong, with long metaphors and seemingly unimportant dialogue strewn throughout. as a sum of it's parts however, this book is extremely good. The ending brings all the incoherent points together, completing the story, and is overall very rewarding
would definitely recommend
