As a huge LoTR and the Hobbit fan, I absolutely love this series. I am also an avid reader and have purposely held back from reading the books because in my opinion, the books are ALWAYS better. Having read books to other major motion pictures has usually ruined the movie for me in their "creative license" in adapting the book to film. Since the LoTR films are among my favorites I refuse to taint them by reading the books, perhaps not a popular opinion but I like to keep my ignorance in the things that are missing or completely wrong from the books. This being said, I have thoroughly enjoyed The Rings of Power series so far. I do hope it stays true to the movies though.
