Turgid, with art house pretensions, this is an utterly forgettable attempt at a meaningful European piece of cinema.
I hazard a guess that the producers, writer and director seem to think that this is far more deep and engaging than it actually is.
Overall, there are some mediocre attempts at humour and some Almodavaresque moments but so many missed opportunities to raise this titanic failure. There are some mildly redeeming elements within the film, but they are all too few to compensate for the abject tedium, the leaden direction and irritating slow pace throughout. The best place for this borefest is in the trash can of wasted time.
