I watched The Good Place since the very beginning and it has been rewarding. The premise is intriguing enough, the humor is light but still substantial, and every end-of-season plot twist is interesting enough to make you want to know more.
The writing is really good, making you invested with the characters and their arc. The performances all around is stellar - specifically Ted Danson and Kristen Bell who really anchor the entire show but also William Jackson and D'arcy Carden who are great comic foils and supporting characters to the main leads. The rest of the cast are good as well.
It might not be everyone's cup of tea though, since there isn't anything new that The Good Place brings to the table, but it innovates already existing ideas really well hence, it's more than good enough if you want chillaxing tv night.
If you want a comedy reflecting on the fundamental nature of the human existence that doesn't take life or itself too seriously, give The Good Place a try.
