Olive Orphan

Wow, easily one of the best movies I've seen. I watched it for the first time many years ago, and decided on a rewatch after forgetting much of the plot. Somehow, it was even better this time and I appreciate the movie even more upon rewatch. The tension is palpable from the first scene to the last, and though the source of tension shifts throughout the movie, it will have you at the edge of your seat for the entire feature length. The movie easily flows from what you might think is just a lesbian romance story into a gripping gangster thriller packed with action. Each scene peeling back layers from its guarded characters, and allowing the viewer to understand them a little better. And to top it all off, the cinematography is simply gorgeous. Much recommended.
