I’ve never been a “super fan, but have always watched the series throughout the years. To me the quality of the women has become
“subpar,” & bottom of the barrellish.” There are still some quality, sophisticated women, I realize they all can’t be top notch!
The premise of the show has become very stale, the idea or notion that everyone falls in love w/the bachelor or bachelorette, all the spit swapping
at the cocktail parties, the hometowns where the parents immediately grab the guy or gal to have a talk outside as soon as dinners being served, trying to extract from them whether or not they’re in love w/their daughter or son, just way too formulaic & predictable. Definitely lackluster, especially
when the gal the bachelor is in love with ditches him, leaves the show, then suddenly there’s another girl he’s fallen for? Not at all believable.
When Claire was the star, she made it so obvious who she favored that it completely ruined the show, causing an abrupt departure & Matt, the 1st black male to take a shot at love. I get that it’s a production, seemingly scripted or directed to create suspense & wonder, but even that’s been corrupted. Chris Harrison resigning because he made a very true comment is another disparaging reason to “hang it up already!” To me, Chris is the show, like Alex Tribek on Jeopardy, just not the same... I read he’s just taking a break, but because everyone’s walking on eggshells around the Black Lives Matter situation, Chris was hung out to dry.
I think the show has truly run its course, Burnett’s created a very successful franchise, but seems fans are “disenfranchised“ lately.
