Spoiler alert, but for the sake of saving two hours wasted please read so you wont lose two hours like I have on this movie. So many plot holes, too many flash backs and a constant frustration of absolutely no excitement or tension to see what will happen next. For starters I quickly lost interest when the movie was clearly going to show constant flashbacks, so half way in the movie I was just struggling to stay awake. Would have been much better to have no flashbacks, at least there would have been more of a mystery, the flashbacks were like a movie inside a movie inside another 3rd movie. Part one flashback, Eric Bana's mom was on top of a rock with her husband and a young Eric one minute, then the next minute is gone with the wind. The director and writer actually want us to believe she just simply ran away and then some kind of miracle they found her later miles and hours away ? Cmon how dumb and unrealistic that is, a amateur filmmaker wouldn't try such a thing. To make matters worse a mystery dog was chasing them , I quess the so called mystery serial killer kojax of kojak's dog. Oh yes on top of all these plot holes is some unknown deceased serial killer and his dog who's story wasnt even explained, they just threw that into the story I quess for the heck of it. Now then part two flashback, the group of five women ruined the movie with their flashbacks, it was a horrible acting job by all five and ruined the movie for me, I was actually hoping a old man named kojax would have appeared and started doing his thing then maybe the movie would get moving in a better, at least more interesting decision. We are left with a woman who wasnt really a killer on top of a waterfall for the second time, at this point I was just yelling at my tv for her to jump because near the end of the movie I just wanted the pain to end. But I quess the second time was the charm on top of that water fall, but instead of her jumping , she slipped, and Eric did a funny jump after her, and after two hours of boring movie, his awkward little leap off the waterfall gave me a uncontrollable laugh which I needed to end my pain of this movie. I was fooled, the first dry was decent and alot better than this second part. This second part could have easily been much better if a older man of kojax was actually alive in those woods, that could have been a better movie, not this soap opera of a mess, I barely gave this movie two stars, it earned one stars instead of zero only because the cool landscape which the movie was filmed in, a landscape that could have easily been used in alot of other good movies. This is the first time of reviewing a movie publicly and I need to do more since this writing have helped relieve my regret and pain of watching such a horrible movie.
