Suddenly it seems Malayalam Movie Industry is going thru a Cop Movie Renaissance! While some of them were spectacular, some of them were absolute Duds like Cold Case Common Ingredients in Cop Movies Serial Killer + Top Lady Cop + Forensic + Cyber + Rubber Gloves + Occult Somewhere they have forgotten about a Script. It seems every actor wants to have an Investigative Cop Thriller in their Kitty, so did Prithviraj. Anyways

This movie dilutes the sacrifice the women of Bhuj & The Indian Defence Forces did for the sovereignty of the country. The movie is a masterclass on " How not to make movies " Having said that the movie will spur an alternate industry of Meme which may somewhat provide some laughter to ease the heartburn caused by watching the movie. For a change, Nora Fatehi's item dance could have provided the welcome relief but that too was not there in the final edited version. In the art of filmmaking, this movie is an epic fail in all departments.

Virus is a semi fictionalized version of the Nipah virus outbreak that befell Kerala, and how the state and its people coped with the same. The state health minister and district administration went into high gear to detect and contain the epidemic. They were assisted by the staff , students & doctors of Kozhikode Medical college , Virology institute Manipal and its personnel, corporates and individuals from various walks of life Similarly in Reel Life, The Director Aasiq Abu , set forth to put together a team of talented actors & technicians to tell the story of those people who were affected by the virus directly or indirectly, and has shone light on the unsung heroes who were able to contain the virus from spreading and becoming a full blown epidemic. Virus , is one of the best movies to come out of the Malayalam Cinematic Universe and is an ode to the undying human spirit.

I must say at first i did not want to see the web series based on a feedback given by a owner of a reputed podcast, it kind of marred my judgement of the series. But then i thought i should decide on my own regarding the series rather than fall prey to opinions cast by other people, and started to see the series one episode after the other. While i do agree to the series tries to paint a rosy picture of the Delhi police department and police personnel in charge, it also raises questions about the sad state of affairs of the police department, the lack of infrastructure, the long working hours, poor salaries , social stigma, and inherent bias of community and media against them . The series portrays the plight of the victim and her family members humanely as possible, and repeated description of the act committed by the accused further emphasizes the extremity of the ghastly act. While we can still debate in great length regarding the portrayal of the incidents, investigation, role of the police , media & the government concerned at great lengths , i would rather like to see this web series as a stark reminder of what had happened in this country's capital one winter night to a fearless young lady, and how we as a nation we failed her.

The Laundromat is the Steven Soderbergh's Netflix version of the kal Penn Show on Amazon called This Giant Beast That is the Global Economy. While the cast is stellar , the script and performances are lackluster. Although the makers of the film have really good intentions ,however since the subject matter is complex and also showcased in a complex way in the movie, making viewer too confused thus making it an overall bore.
