Joachim Phoenix was horribly miscast. No power to his voice. Needed an actor with gravitas, he had none in this role. Minimal facial expressions. The representation of Napoleon's behavior with Josephine was such a turn off. The remainder of the cast was good. Costumes, settings and battle scenes were well done, if only too lengthy
