LL and Q-Tip are making the music that Hip Hop has needed. Even though it heartens back to a golden era of rap (90’s), this is music that won’t ever feel dated! Fave collabs on the album are Saweetie, Busta, and Nas.

This is my favorite ATCQ album. The Ummah took a swing type of approach to every beat so at a distant glance it may seem redundant or repetitive. Nothing could be further from the truth. A deep dive into this album will show that it’s actually one of the greatest Jazz influenced Hip Hop albums of all time!
