The movie interestingly touches on very realistic phenomena that we sadly still witness nowadays. It hurts me so much that until this very day people in my county would furiously defend these so claimed Saints, and would spend hours praising their miraculous stories. The movie succeeded in bringing us closer to the forgotten lands of Morocco, where people's lack of awareness has led the majority of them to blindly embrace primitive beliefs. Adult illiteracy remains a major problem everywhere in Morocco and plays a major role in creating these religiously covered customs . Finally, let us not forget the elephant in the room; Religion and ideology are both primary causes for the kind of Morocco we see today. All in all, if the topics above interest you, this is a slow-paced movie with a great cinematography and black comedy that I totally recommend.
