I'm new to Tunisian crochet but not to regular crochet. I loved the fact that I could learn so many new stitches and loved changing colors. It never got boring. That said, I found that I had to rewrite/adjust some of the stitches as described in the book to match the video's that I watched that go with the book. I wad disappointed that he didn't video a few more of the stitches required as it would have been helpful. I would rewrite as follows:
Tunisian purl stitch (tps): Yarn in front of hook, then under the vertical bar just like the simple stitch, then the yarn goes behind the hook to yarn over and pull through just one lp. (now it looks like the picture)
Row 17 -- Do 1 single crochet in next st and 3 more double crochets in the same st and pull through the loop that started the popcorn so it pulls the "bump" together. RetP.
Row 37 -- Ch1 *work double crochet in EACH of the next 2 stitches, YO and pull through 2 lps on hook, sk next st, rep from * across to last st, draw up lp in last bar, RepP; ch 1, *yo, draw through 2 lps on hook ch 1, rep from * across.
I am now stuck on row 47 and it makes no sense to me. I have notified Rohn and hope to get a response. This was another row that could have used a video. The next video isn't until row 82! Good luck till then.
