I am a big Evil Dead fan, and I went into this movie with low expectations. (And, didn't watch the trailer on purpose) But, I loved it. It is everything that an ED fan would want in a movie. It is campy, gore filled, creative kills, and has psychological elements. ( isolation, loss of a loved one, etc.)The cinematography and sound was amazing. The acting was top-notch. I liked the foreshadowing and repeating themes. The Easter eggs and tie-backs were a nice touch for fans without piggy backing too hard on the original. There are a few small things that I would have changed, but overall it was a great time and a real treat for me as a fan of the franchise.
