Do not expect a masterpiece the level of Interstellar, Inception, Dunkirk or even Tenet in this movie. This movie is mediocre, albeit with a beautiful musical score, cinematography and the performances. Cillian Murphy is at his best but the dialogue at times cannot be deciphered and ruins the storytelling even when the screenplay is already messy and unnecessarily convoluted enough. The Trinity test scene was very dramatically built up but the final explosion looked so weak it made it so frustrating to watch, especially when Nolan boasted of being shaken in your IMAX seat when it explodes. The editing also felt too quick, because there were many important characters, Nolan and his editor tried to squeeze everything into this 3 hour mess to accommodate everyone and with no flow. The good news is that because of this editing, there wasn't a slow pace and the film flew by.
Overall, I just have to say, if you have booked tickets to this movie, see it in the best quality picture format because atleast the cinematography is gorgeous.
Saying all this from a diehard Nolan fan.
