The reason why this show is amazing is because even though it is talking about the trauma Donny experienced, he doesn't hide his faults. Not only did they hire absolutely amazing actors for the job, who captured exactly the expressions and feelings you would expect the characters to have, but also, this show is solely based on honesty. It is showing us everything that the main character was going through. Every single thought on his mind, every aspect, him taking accountability for the small things. And even though everything he has experienced was awful and disgusting, he never portrays himself as the victim of it all. We can see how his trauma pushed him in situations where he could not find the exit. This series made me feel emotions that I rarely feel watching a show. It almost felt like I was in the room with them all, watching this unfold in real time. I never write interviews, but this time i feel it was necessary.
