Saw this movie when it first came out and now in retrospect I would say that it is a time capsule of the era. It is a collage of gay and pop culture as well as the emotions and real fears that many gay men were experiencing. Very creative use of “asides” and humor and benevolent stereotypes. A great cast and director.

Predictable. Boring. Soap opera science fiction. Variations on old standard plots. Tedious.
