This book took me a long time to finish, simply because I got bored. From the start I did not like the main character, Lo. She is self absorbed and spends most of the book crying, hating life, or being delusional. She has an alcohol addiction, and struggles with anxiety and depression. I believe that the author could have portrayed her character as less rude and abnoxious. There were many loose ends that the author did not close up, such as how Carrie could have had access to Ann’s fortune and Lo’s information. I think that the book could easily be 100 pages shorter. The ending had me disappointed. It was not revealing and kind of dull. It wasn’t predictable, but it wasn’t surprising either.
