I have owned every NFS for the Xbox platform since the beginning. This is a mixed bag for me. Pro story and mods are great. Con - I feel like I’m playing a beta. The cut between the race staging and the countdown to go seems janky. It hangs mid load for about 1.5 seconds which is unprofessional to me. Drifting used to be natural. I perfected it and it was pretty much consistent throughout the franchise until this one. Having the option of braking or throttle to initiate drift is nonsensical. Everybody knows you initiate a drift with the e brake. Some of the AI at the lower levels needs to be recalibrated. If I’m running a 170 rated cAr in a 120 rated race, in a straight line with nos and I cannot catch the computer racer?! Seems unbalanced to me. Overall I will play it, but it’s far from perfect. I suppose that’s my franchise loyalty talking.
