I really enjoyed the first Accountant movie and was looking forward to seeing this, but what a disappointment. The story is terrible, I could barely keep track of what the movie was about or what was supposed to be happening. Just a terribly written screenplay. Thr movie starts with a man (JK Simmons), whose is trying to track down a family from Mexico that went missing 8 years ago. I have no idea why he was looking for them. A clan of child hackers who are able to crack just about anything at any time, the leader of whom is apparently mute for some reason. They live in a mansion that resembles Professor X's academy in X-Men. A mother who has acquired the "savant" capabilities of being a killer since being almost bashed to death, and is now a hitman who eventually realises who the bad guy is who destroyed her family and she goes on the rampage to kill him, but yet she seems to have no interest in finding her long lost son. No explanation to why the kids are being held in the desert - the boy for apparently 8 years. To what end? The movie is littered with scenes and characters that seem to have no purpose to the plot. Overall, It's just a really weird nonsensical film. I'm perplexed as to why their are so many 5 star reviews here.is this nonsense what passes for excellence in these days of mediocrity? I must be clearly out of touch.

This was not the action thriller movie I was expecting from the trailer. 1/3rd way through we were really confused as to what was going on. My mum gave up and stopped watching altogether. I percervered hoping that it would all come together in the end. It kinda did, with an awfully large stretching of my mental capacity. While watching I found it odd that James McAvoy be cast in such a smiler role as in Split, only to realise during the closing credits that this movie might somehow be linked to Split. I never had a clue going into this movie that it was part of a trilogy. Had I done, so I think it may have been more watchable. It's a very long time ago since I watched Split (which I recall being excellent) and I've never seen Unbreakable. I'd recommend viewers to familiarise themselves with the other two movies before watching this one.
