I have a gift card to Fandango whom chose to deactivate it because I didn’t use it within their time frame. I had no idea they had a certain time frame I need to use my gift card within before they deactivated it. There is no information regarding this policy advertised anywhere. I went to take my daughter to the movies and when entering the card online it kept erroring out. I proceeded to email Fandango since you can’t get a person on the phone and they stated your card has been deactivated due to dormancy. The process to get the gift card reactivated/replaced is extensive and you simply can’t plan a spur the moment movie theater trip with this kind of policy. We should have the freedom to use OUR gift card when WE ARE READY TO. I want my gift card reactivated so I can take my daughter to the movies this weekend. But I will likely have to wait until this week for a new card. My daughter and I were really looking forward to seeing a movie! I know the simple answer is take her anyway! And of course, but as a single parent we rely on gift cards, and discounts when we can as going to the movies isn’t cheap!
