Disappointed. I found it highly forgettable and hard to get into. At least three times I wanted to sarcastically say out loud, "Is that supposed to be scary?" Also had a hard time understanding some of the dialogue, particularly Russel Crowe. I may have expected too much, which is common. I got the impression that it likely deviated from the books upon which is was based, which in endemic to most movies these days, but that's just a hunch.
