Every time television people try to bring back an old show, they try to make it relevant to a new generation. What is more, cartoon shows have to comply with certain television show script guidelines that did not exist when an old show was originally in production. I never was a fan of Thundercats, but I stand with the "haters" of the new version of the show. I don't think television producers should bring back old shows unless they intend to be faithful to the original writing, style, etc.In a way, what they are doing is dishonest or at least deceptive.
