I loved this book. For some reason, I am reminded of it as I read THE LOST BOOKSHOP by Evie Woods. I think both books are best summed up by saying they are simply enchanting.

It was so loud I could not hear it, and music over dialogue made it worse. I look forward to seeing it at home, sound off, just closed captioning.

So glad to read reviews that helped me figure out why I am not interested in finishing this book! It really does read like a series of events...bloody, brutal, brutish....I just don't want to be in this world, or with these people. I've just gotten to the cockfight...and I'm calling it quits!
