It's been a while since I watched something the whole way through just to see how pointless it could be. Thankfully there are only 6 episodes. Nothing happens that's particularly apocalyptic or remotely devastating. The community that builds up rather quickly in the six short episodes doesn't appear to have to deal with any specific hardships one would expect following a full-blown apocalypse. None of the scenarios that could potentially provide something profound or compelling in the storyline have any gravitas or grit or realism. The only stage in the story that provides something with any meat on it at all is when the community decide to kill the leader of the visitors for raping one of girls. But that doesn't happen until episode 5 and the problem is resolved in about 5 minutes. All the characters are one dimensional. The story is trite and shallow. It's like a really badly written, low budget TV movie from the 90s stretched out to six excruciating episodes.

Desperately indulgent and uninteresting.

Not really a story worthy of a documentary. A dim, needy narcissist gets blatantly taken in by a con man. Whatever about him, she portrays herself as an innocent victim, but there’s something very unconvincing and untrustworthy about her. Total flatline emotion. And she shafted her own staff. Not much to empathise with there. And ultimately not a particularly interesting story.
