I am from Meriwether County, Greenville GA. My mother had this book. As a young child, I read this book so full of hate, lying, injustice, imitation. During a time when the schools were segregated, even to the lengths of changing the schools to an all boys school and an all girls school. The County did rise to having a black Principal, MrSTOKES, black Mayor, JOELBRAY, MrALEXANDER, Education. It’s saddening that this evilness, sickness still grows in our society today. Racism is so profoundly. But, there is some goodness being inspired into homes. Thank you. Our children are being exposed to different types of religious. Culture. Ethics , one thing for sure, there is goodness and some badness in everyone.
