Action packed funny summer movie. It sets up the plot a bit slowly but then you are off to a fast paced series of violent yet funny attacks. Brad Pitt had the perfect pitch humor for this Tarantinoesque gratuitous violence much like pulp fiction or Kill Bill 1 &2. If you liked those movies you will like this one. Star Studded!

The acting was as expected superb. The story was in places sluggish, but cast was better than the script. Thumbs up.

Just saw the movie today. I had not read the book or known the story. Id say the acting of the younger actors was a bit better than the acting of their adult counterparts. The story was fragmented and was not held together by the later adult actors or the direction. I know this is a Pulitzer novel so i figure it was difficult to adapt to the screen and it shows.

I would recommend this. I always thought Julia Roberts was a stellar actress and that has not changed. Excellent acting, excellent story, excellent camera work. Give yourself some time with this as you will likely want to go on to the next episode. Binge watch material.
