I really enjoy that this movie can stand on its own and it is not just trying to be a repeat of the original. I feel like the stepmother-stepdaughter feelings were realistic and well done. Giselle is somehow even more beautiful than she was in the first one. Halfway through I turned to my boyfriend and said that I love that this sequel did not gut her personality. Many sequels where the main character has children, the main character often confirm to the personality of a wet blanket. Think The Little Mermaid 2, which is cute movie! But Ariel loses all of her personality and ambition. Here Giselle remains true to herself and is just as entertaining even when the story centers itself on Morgan. I love the movie and I think it kept the true spirit of the original. Hats off to Disney. Thank you for making a beautiful sequel this time! Ps: yes I cried.
