Sorry but there is no star available less than one for a rating. Has Amitabh gone this bankrupt to have taken part in a themeless, directionless and a so called ‘movie’ of 2.5 hours of absolute drag?. Even some fictions have semblance of realities, but yes this drag is indeed a “stranger than fiction” Does not qualify even for a negative statement in reviews.

Well presented on abrogation of Art-370 the thorn in Indian flesh. Many avoidable scenes could have been done away with and instead a brief 10 minute sequence on “Operation Bandar” led by Airforce officer Abhinandan, that was in response to the martyrdom of 40 brave hearts could made the movie a lot more patriotic and electrifying

Bramayugam. Oh yes. They call it a movie !!! Was dragged to this movie by my friend today 22nd Feb 2024, 13.50 show at Seawoods cinepolis, New Bombay. It is unfortunate that there is no rating below ‘one star’ which I would have other wise preferred to confer with. The only moment of grace was the 8 minute power nap this “movie” offered me. My friend realised the stupidity in booking this show in the near-empty-hall and obediently nudged me into walking out at the intermission. The then ‘black n white’ movie era must be raving and ranting in its grave. Stay away if you value your sleep.

Could not make out the head nor the tail of the movie if u call it a movie. Not a pinch of pragmatism. One has to keep rewinding to make out if the previous clip has any relevance sequentially or if the editor has committed a joke of his job. Mammootty seems to have realised (wishfully), albeit damn late, on his present status with his abysmal performance here, which may hopefully remind him of his long overdue retirement. If the gross box office collections, as has been proudly claimed by the producers, hold any water, I can only try seeking pardon on myself for having to have made me believe the story of box office grossing. Mammootty was my then favourite (pardon me for using a past tense). Vijay Merchant in an interview had said “Retire when people ask why and not why not” None of the other characters proved worthy of a replay. When I talk of “replay” I mean likes of “A Wednesday” and “Enter the Dragon”

Highly regrettable and lousy movie

I have seen: A Wednesday, Kashmir Files and now this movie Kerala Story. All the three are supposedly based on real times. While Neeraj Pandey’s “A Wednesday” is by far the most exhilarating amongst any Hindi movie thrillers ever seen, the other two recent exhibits are just a perceived “flow with the prevailing situations all over the globe” and a “make hay while the Sun shines” ones. KF and KS are a two hour drag and worth not more than a ‘sit thru’ and ‘forget’ ones. Whereas the movie ‘A Wednesday’ is a ‘the more number of times you see, the lesser it is” gripper. When I say “flow with the tide” and “make hay when the sun shines” I mean the guys who sit out there like a patient bird called Vulture seizing the slightest given opportunity at making money. To prove this point, I am on the heel for another so called block buster “The Manipur Page”. And there is nothing wrong in it, ya? But all kinds of empathetic window dressings applied to the sacrilege are a set of camouflage at making the theme a “holier than thou” emotive, is something that is rather distasteful. Showing some mercy, I gave it a 2-star rating with one in Charity.
