I'm not going to write a long essay/review here, but having taught American horror film classes for over 20 yrs. (including Oz's dad's masterpiece), this is one you can wait to stream/see for free. Weak, predictable plot, a main, Clarice Starling-wannabe character who falls way short of believable, and a Nick Cage character whose identity is just lame. Best part is the first 10 minutes, but don't buy a ticket to see that. Wait til it's streaming (should be next week, tops) if you really have to see it.

I have taught both Peele films. But I will not put my students through this one. No plot, no investment in any of the characters, and no idea what the monkey subplot was all about. And that’s just for starters. I was neither scared nor entertained and would’ve walked out except I kept telling myself, “It’s Jordan Peele. There’s going to be an amazing conclusion that will tie together all the disparate elements that otherwise don’t connect at all.” However, the title summed it up: nope. Every director is allowed a major clinker. Mr. Peele, this one is deafening.
