I'm so bored that I'm writing this review half way in. Just watched smile 1 & 2 and was memorized and excited for this film. It tries sooo hard to be stylistic and retro it falls short in every category. It uses every lame cliché in its style and story. It just stinks of "let's use dramatic lighting and cinematography instead of telling a compelling story. Let's be "deep" bro". I'm quite depressed with Miaka Monroe's boring performance. She has been so good in her other films. I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy. The only saving grace is Mr Cage. If the movie had more of him and less of boring filler and crappy cringey exposition executed in such a bad way, it would be more than a 2/5. Edit: The last 20 minutes of the movie were fantastic. If the other 60+ minutes where good at all this would be a different story. 2/5

It's actually better than previous years if you tweak the heck out of the sliders. In year three of my franchise and I am enjoying it!
