Fantastic show. I loved the pace and the contemplative mood. I appreciated the subtle acting and the drawn-out silences, the investigative process, low and meticulous, the hyper-realism, the starkness, the intelligence of this tv-making. Bravo!

Excellent series. detailed, very well written, a lot of intricate back stories, emotional, real, heartfelt, honest. It really made me feel emotionally for the characters. Casting is excellent too. I just went back to watch the Selena movie with JLo but after watching this TV series, the movie seems terrible! there is depth to it, it just rushes through her life without telling you anything about who the real Selena or her familly were. I definitely recommend this series.

I cannot even give this movie one star. Where do I start? I watched it because the New York Times liked it and wrote it up. NYT what are you thinking? is Netflix paying you tons to promote their movies? This one is awful. I just wasted 1 and 1/2 hours of my life watching something brainless and vapid. Producers/ director trying to make it feel like the brilliant french avant-garde cinema of the 50's and 60's?...total and utter fail...subtext, side glances, silences, tempo, you have to be a genius to master those, they cannot be just copied. Actresses Zahia Dehar (silicon Barbie) and Mira Farid are, in a good scene, expressionless and throughout the movie... bovine. Their faces are frozen and their eyes dead; maybe that IS what they have been told to feel by the director...."feel avant-garde?" and yes, I know that Zahia Dehar was an underage prostitute before this film. Lets throw her in for good marketing purposes. Cliché cliché cliché...the Riviera, topless nubile girls, rich older foreign men on a yacht, all that stuff, no plot, lots of breasts and bums. And to top it all it is dubbed! The girls sound breezy and not at all like the Northern African tough suburbia talk that makes France multi culturally french. That contrast is needed here. One of the themes of this movie is that race and social class defines you no matter how young and pretty you are. Even the young and all-white crew on the yacht give the girls the stink eye. The fact that these two girls are Northern African is an important plot point, but here, in the dubbed version, they sound like easy breezy wasps or a South of France version of Paris Hilton....really? What little texture this movie had is erased with the dubbing until there is nothing left to grab on to. Pffffffffff....

I speak and write four languages fluently. The dubbing is appalling...from the tonality ( everyone is american even is that are italian, French, Belgian and dutch) to the plot....netflix has got the cheapest dubbing service in the world. I stopped watching Sophia Loren in The Life Ahead and Easy Girl because of the appalling dubbing

A perfect show. Charming and so well written. The characters are wonderfully developed, credible and complex.The production design is superb and the acting flawless. I could watch it again as soon as I finish it. And I will be desperately sad when I watch the end because I will miss them all, and Corfu.

A pleasure to watch. Simply brilliant. understated and subtle, superb acting, detailed. Well developed and credible characters, intricate sub plots. I love it that there is no heavy score, no car chases, nor people blowing up things. I am finishing season 4 and starting on season 5 in two days. I will be desperate when it is finished. It really does make you feel smarter after watching this show because you need brain power to keep up and follow the intricacies. There are a lot of aha! moments that give you satisfaction. Question: what type of phone does Pacemaker use in season 5? You can see it well a couple of times. It has keys. Is that a Blackberry Android?

Loved this show. Ok...lots of plot holes and confusing story telling and some clichés and absurdities BUT who cares when it is Idris Elba being Idris Elba. I would watch anything that he is in, flaws and all, and this series is GRIPPING and a lot of fun. Don't overthink it ya'll, just enjoy

pfffffffff. fun watch but terrible storytelling flaws and plot holes. Feels like The Affair but it is not that good, for now. Acting is great though. Celine Buckens, Janet Montgomery, Jordan Stephens are very very good. Tom Mison a bit too self-conscious. Oh and spoiler alert: the comatose fingers moving at the end? no thanks to season two unless they fix the writing because that is so obviously a cliffhanger but this series which could be great like The Affair, is only passable for now
