I have to say that I really like Nora Roberts' romantic suspense novels. There are several that I truly enjoyed. Hidden nature is not one of them. As other reviewers have noted, there is way too much description of home improvement and cooking. Every meal is described in detail whether cooked by the good guys or the bad guys! About halfway through the book I laughed out loud and thought, "This is HGTV, meets Hallmark, meets Oxygen!" I suppose this is the fault of Roberts herself. However I wonder if her publisher required a certain amount of words and she had to fill in where needed. I say this because I've noticed several novels published recently have too much description and repetitive sections. Is this something new? Whatever happened to "kill your darlings?"
