I was interested in the discussion today about the Scotus opinion on the football player who prayed with his team. The argument by the View panel is that there is supposed to be a separation of church and state. There never was a separation of church and state in this country from the time of the Mayflower Compact through the writing of the Constitution to the present day. While I would like to see a separation it never has existed and this most recent example is only a throwback to the more conservative position.
