This movie was two hours and 45 minutes long but could have been an hour and a half. There were long and repetitive action scenes that suggested the director had filmed the same scene in ten different ways and rather than taking the best, just threw them all in. So you have 6 sets of two villains attacking John Wick in a museum of Japanese antiquity. Conveniently for him, when he dispatches one set of 2, the next arrives.
I didn't see John Wick 3 but I'm pretty sure that I still would have no idea what was going on. From what I could tell, they didn't write the screenplay before the movie but as they were going along. For example, his friend gets him as close to Sacre Couer as possible through underground passages. He leaves him 2 miles away and Wick has to fight a thousand assassins to get across town. That makes sense for some James Bond hidden fortress but it's just stupid and lazy otherwise.
