I think there several flaws in the movie. 1.Diane Lane's character is stubborn, selfish and wants what she wants...which ultimately doesn't end well for everyone involved. 2. If you witness domestic violence, you should
report it right away before it's too late. 3. Kevin Costner character was former pd, you'd think he'd be more prepared.
