SPOILER ALERT: This show would have been good if the ending was actually realistic instead of romanticized like 99% of relationship-driven series. I was rooting for her when she told Noah she couldn't be with him because she wasn't ready to convert and wanted to know more about herself and what she wants - she tells him not to follow her because she made up her mind, and to me, that's a really empowering moment. I was like LET'S GO JOANNA, that was brave but you did that!!! That's a realistic dilemma and she handled it with grace. She would have been fine without him because she's a strong and independent woman. Then Noah shows up at the end, is willing to throw away his ENTIRE future and dream he's had since he was a kid for her???? To me that's not romantic, that's insane. They've been dating for a matter of months, and he clearly cares about his family, religion and community - there's no way he would just drop all of that because he's in love. Life is more complicated than that. I know most people want a cutsie ending wrapped in pink ribbons but that's just not life...bummer they had to sugarcoat things in the end.
