I will the best of all the Godzilla and Kong movies I have seen so far but the whole plot of the mom turned eco terrorists made no sense.

Just saw it and yes it was weak and very hard to watch. One critic said they should have taken the humans out of it and I agree. Dialog was exhausting and horrible and the tribe made no sense but let's give them telepathy. The monster fights were ok but looked like a pro wrestling match where they had to job to Godzilla.

For the limited type of movie and budget it had it was very good in my opinion.

Overall I like it and yes it had its tropes like Harlan fly to andromeda galaxy and only 28 yrs pass by and how the soldiers died so fast but I still loved it.

Poor acting and decent special effects but poor attempts at military scyfy because did have potential. Movie would have been better if it was just action and special effects. CGI or animated movie would have been a better. You really don't care much about the actors. What this movie reminds me of is a bad remake of exosquad just in a dystopian world. Artificial humanoids are just like the neo sapiens.

Liked the idea and wish they made a sequel

What I saw I loved because it blended military science fiction with drama. Breath of fresh air.
