I find it ironic that this movie is rated R, yet one would have to have the mind of a child not to see it for the nonsensical, derivative and contrived piece of trash that it is. If you are a fan of the Alien franchise and can't be convinced to skip this one, do yourself a favor and find a way to watch it for free so you don't waste both your time and your money. There is nothing new or interesting about this film. The protagonist is instantly good at everything so there is no real struggle or sense of danger. The supporting characters have no personality or interesting characteristics to make the audience care about them. The story is pretty much bad fan-fiction and makes no effort to adhere to any type of lore. But, for me the worst parts were the lame attempts at fan service. As a whole the movie seemed like it was written by a 12 year old who heard someone described the plot synopsis of the Alien franchise once and tried to cram it all into one film.
