Good for occasional fun, but at least on console the inconsistency of the controls ended up making this one of the most disappointing gaming experiences in recent history.
Disappointing because there is some serious fun potential, but beyond beginner level (which is quite fun) getting good at the game basically involves trying to tailor your play style around the extremely awkward controls.
Console players will want to play with increased x axis sensitivity, but will almost always lose to PC players regardless.
If you don’t mind the constant respawn and want go deep by learning to navigate the significant clunkiness of this game you might love it. Personally I found that after 25 hours or so the frustration of the game outweighs the fun factor, and increased the longer I played. At some point the game just feels like a chore instead of fun…yeah, happens with any game, but(at least on console) it doesn’t take long with this one.
Lots of potential, extremely disappointing experience overall.
