CJ Box novels are excellent hard to put down reads, well developed characters and scenes, and great storytelling. I was looking forward to this show but am sorely disappointed, the screenplay doesn’t come close to the quality of Mr. Box’s books, and sadly this show doesn’t follow the book close enough to keep me interested. The acting is second rate, and the screenplay got way too unrealistic. My hope is that the Joe Pickett series that CJ Box has found great success with will be made into a quality TV series more like the Tom Selleck - Jesse Stone series with characters you could sympathize with, and which in my opinion was a quality series much more real than Big Sky.
