One of the great attractions of watching "Murder in a Small Town" is the sense that I know a lot of the characters portrayed in it. For example, the best person to assist me in an internet research project is the local librarian. Even the grifters, scofflaws, and charlatans match up with people I've rubbed elbows with. I guessed that a multi-million production company would never take on a project devoid of bomb-blasts, car chases, and international drug cartels. And, I was right. The show originated in Vancouver, B.C. at Sepia Films. Someone there was familiar with L.M. Wright and the book "Murder in a Small Town" and brought it to the attention of the right time people at the perfect time.
