There’s just so much misogyny and constant male sexualization of women as worthless except as broodmares and male possessions as a part of the worldview - I constantly feel self loathing and bad while reading this book. I think books like this erode women’s worth and plays into the rise of a cultural shift in the wrong direction. I can l’t get past the first half of the book - it just hurts my soul to keep reading. There’s so many other sexy books which manage to have some groups who are misogynist that don’t make me actually feel worse as a person. This book is garbage.
