I saw Bill Gates recommend the book. Honestly, I would have never gotten it if it weren't for my favorite BookTuber rating it a solid 5/5. Not that its premise wasn't interesting (it was!), it's just that I'm not that big of a sci-fi reader. Yet, I actually enjoyed this. To be honest, I had a problem starting it. I guess it was kind of a given since the genre's not my cup of tea. But the way it was narrated kept me on the hook. I very much enjoyed how very technical terms were made understandable for the reader without it being oversimplified. Although I cannot say for sure that the science is accurate haha. For the plot — amazing. The characters? They were delightful! The last few chapters made me bawl my eyes out, I swear. I am usually composed but this book made me wail! I knew that it was a good book when it made me contemplate so many things in life. Must read!
