If i could give it 0 stars i would. Only reason i want to play this game is for road to glory which is unplayable. You cant pick plays which means the “coach” picks and it picks the worst possible play for every situation. 3rd and 16 and your down 4 with under two minutes to go… better run the ball up the middle. You cant change the play. You can earn the coaches trust and be able to change the play a couple times during the game but it usually only gives you 3 options and sometimes those options are even worse than the original play. I played Bama and was up by 24 points going into the fourth. But coach would only call run plays. Sure enough they caught up and were down 4. I tried to change a 3 and 10 from a run play and all my options were run plays. Then bama scored and i was trailing. Managed to go take the lead back only for bama to tie it and send it to overtime. Then my running back fumbled and it was game over. And dont get me started on the pass blocking, especially on play action. Doesnt matter what adjustments you make your line will fail every time. And if you play on the road forget about it. You cant even see the icon above your players head. But the most frustrating thing is the logic. Bama will lose to USF like 80% of the time. Or Georgia will go 6-6 for a season. Then teams like utah will go unbeaten. The logic is terrible and the game play is worse. Tried playing again after several updates and somehow game play is worse. Sim logic is still trash, play calling in road to glory is still awful if not worse, and now linebackers and DBs can jump 25 feet in the air or teleport 20 yards down field and pick you off. WR still can’t catch and routs running is illogical. And your line still can’t block no matter what adjustments you make. This game is worse than Madden. EA really just made this game to screw us all over and take in the money. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy

The passing and run game features have improved from past years especially the run game this year. However that can’t save the game. The game feels scripted and the outcome determined before it’s even played. An example is in close games that fumbles increase especially on players that hardly ever fumble in games in real life and who have great ball carrying stats. And I’m not talking one fumble but multiple players fumbling multiple times in one game. An issue that EA never fixes. There is also the same problem where defenders make crazy interceptions like jumping backwards in the air and catching the ball under their feet. Things like that take you out of any immersion that game may provide. Receivers also tend to not fight for the ball ever so if you want to try one on ones forget it. There is still no consistency in blocking mechanics. Sometimes it feels the line blocks too well ( and usually against really great rushers ) and then sometimes the line can’t block at all ( and usually against terrible defenses ). The run blocking does feel much better like I stated earlier but there are still times where the mechanics breakdown when running in strait down the middle. It seems like the defense collapses but the game can’t support the animations or something like that and instead of a tackle for loss the running back gets launched forward several yards. It ends up looking like the player teleported forward. Things like this make madden unplayable. And I haven’t even mentioned features from early 2000s maddens we have been asking to have back that EA continues not to add back
