the ending you decide for your self.... my take, the movie reflects what we are today 'greedy'. When we consume what we have been given in such a beautiful manner, what will our children be left with. There are people trying to save our wonderful place (Earth) but will the adults pass on the wonders the beauty and the means to survive to the children, as the platforms / years go by? The children after years of consumption will have nothing until we do something about it and let them rise to the top.
