Major Debbie Downer from start to finish! Currently detoxing after crying myself to sleep after this bizarrely detailed tragic story. Geez. 😥 Was really hoping for a redeeming moment that never seemed to arrive. ‼️SPOILER BELOW - You’ve been warned!! . . . Regarding Bea’s character evolution: That made no sense to me if I’m being honest. With each stupid choice that woman continued to make, it became clear to me that that’s all this plot was building up to. Don’t get me wrong…it’s a decent story I suppose, but all in all it was really just a lose-lose situation that became more ridiculous with each terrible decision Bea was compelled to make. Her logic was so dumb to me that I was convinced the author was finally going to reveal that her character was on the lamb this whole time and that’s why she was soooo OVERLY scared of getting caught.

Devastatingly beautiful album with a haunting cadence. Just another reason why Foo Fighters has been, is, and will always be my favorite band since the late 90s. I can’t imagine all the loss Dave has suffered from losing his best friend and mom so close together. It’s the perfect release of grief that anyone with a soul can relate to, whether it be via the lyrics or just the guttural feelings each song gives us. HowEVER… nothing—literally NOTHING—hits as hard as “Rest.” That last song makes me cry, no matter what mood I’m in going into it. But it’s too damn good to skip in a hurts-so-good kinda way. Just a great album all around…plus it totally gives off “a good shower cry” vibe when it’s said and done. A beautiful love letter to Taylor and Dave’s mom alike. Bonus points if you can detect the songs that give off old school Foo’s b side vibes, Nirvana, *and* Pink Floyd undertones.
