Devastatingly beautiful album with a haunting cadence. Just another reason why Foo Fighters has been, is, and will always be my favorite band since the late 90s. I canât imagine all the loss Dave has suffered from losing his best friend and mom so close together. Itâs the perfect release of grief that anyone with a soul can relate to, whether it be via the lyrics or just the guttural feelings each song gives us. HowEVER⌠nothingâliterally NOTHINGâhits as hard as âRest.â That last song makes me cry, no matter what mood Iâm in going into it. But itâs too damn good to skip in a hurts-so-good kinda way. Just a great album all aroundâŚplus it totally gives off âa good shower cryâ vibe when itâs said and done. A beautiful love letter to Taylor and Daveâs mom alike.
Bonus points if you can detect the songs that give off old school Fooâs b side vibes, Nirvana, *and* Pink Floyd undertones.
